To get a Dubai visit visa from Pakistan, a UAE sponsor must apply for you before you travel: an airline such as Emirates or flydubai, a licensed tourism company or hotel, or a relative or friend living in the UAE. Tourist visas are issued for 30 or 60 days. As of October 2026, Pakistani passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival, even with a US, UK or EU visa.
What types of UAE visit visa can Pakistanis get?
Dubai visas are issued by GDRFA Dubai, the emirate's residency department, and by ICP, the federal authority. You do not apply at an embassy in Pakistan. For most visit visas, a sponsor in the UAE applies for you.
| Visa | Who applies for you | Stay | Government fee (GDRFA Dubai) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tourist, single entry | A UAE tourism establishment: tour company, hotel or airline | 30 or 60 days | AED 200 or AED 300, plus VAT |
| Tourist, multiple entry | A UAE tourism establishment | 30 or 60 days | AED 300 or AED 500, plus VAT |
| Relative or friend visit, single entry | A UAE resident relative or friend | 30, 60 or 90 days | AED 200, 300 or 400, plus VAT, a refundable AED 1,000 deposit and medical insurance |
| Five year tourist, multiple entry | You, with no host needed | Up to 90 days a year, extendable to 180 | About AED 3,713 in total, including a AED 3,000 guarantee deposit |
The government fee is what the sponsor pays. The price you pay an airline or travel agent includes their own service charges.
A tourist or family visit visa does not allow you to work, and it is not meant for job hunting. The UAE runs a separate job exploration visa, open only to skilled workers who graduated from one of the world's top 500 universities. Via Nova does not arrange jobs, job offers or work visas. If you already work remotely for a company outside the UAE, read our guide to the Dubai remote work visa for Pakistanis.
Can Pakistanis get a UAE visa on arrival with a US visa or UK residence?
No, not as of 15 October 2026. Pakistan is not on the UAE's visa on arrival lists. The rule that people often quote applies to other nationalities:
- Indian nationals qualify if they hold a US visa or green card, a UK or EU visa or residence permit, or residence in Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea or Singapore.
- Six more nationalities, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya and South Africa, were added on 25 June 2026, if they hold a residence permit from the US, the EU, the UK or one of those six countries.
A Pakistani passport holder needs a UAE visa arranged in advance, whatever other visas they hold. The UAE says these lists can change, so check before you fly.
Dubai visit visa documents checklist for applicants in Pakistan
Official lists are short. Airlines and agents often ask for more.

| Photo | Colour, plain light background, face clearly visible |
| CNIC | GDRFA Dubai and Emirates list a national identity card for Pakistani applicants |

| Hotel booking or host's tenancy contract | Emirates asks for a confirmed hotel reservation, or a tenancy contract in your family member's name |

| Proof of relationship | For family visits: birth certificate, nikah nama or FRC |
| Host's documents | For family visits: salary certificate or employment contract, passport and Emirates ID |
| Bank statement | Not on GDRFA's list for 30 or 60 day tourist visas, but six months of statements are required for the five year visa |
How to apply for a Dubai visit visa from Pakistan, step by step
- Choose your sponsor. Pick an airline, a licensed travel company or hotel, or a relative. The official UAE portal links the visa services of Emirates, flydubai and Etihad.
- Check the sponsor's conditions. Emirates, for example, only applies for passengers with an issued Emirates ticket that includes the Dubai stay, and asks you to apply at least four working days before arrival.
- Prepare your documents. Use the checklist above. Every document must be genuine.
- Your sponsor applies. GDRFA Dubai lists 48 hours and ICP 2 days once submitted. Emirates says its visas take about 2 to 4 working days.
- Check your visa. Your name and passport number must match your passport exactly.
- Enter in time. Emirates tourist visas must be used within 60 days of issue.
- Leave before it expires. The overstay fine is AED 50 a day, and an overstay can hurt every future application.
How much is the Dubai tourist visa fee in 2026?
As of 15 October 2026, GDRFA Dubai's government fees for a tourist visa are:
- 30 days, single entry: AED 200 plus 5% VAT.
- 60 days, single entry: AED 300 plus 5% VAT.
- 30 days, multiple entry: AED 300 plus 5% VAT.
- 60 days, multiple entry: AED 500 plus 5% VAT.
What you pay depends on your sponsor. Emirates published these prices, VAT included, on 15 October 2026: US$90 for 30 days single entry, US$136 for 30 days multiple entry, US$177 for 60 days single entry and US$231 for 60 days multiple entry. VFS processing fees apply to Emirates online applications. Travel agents set their own prices, so ask for the full amount in writing.
Family visit visa: who can sponsor you?
A relative or friend who lives in the UAE can sponsor your visit. ICP sets these minimum monthly salaries for the sponsor:
- AED 4,000 for first degree relatives: father, mother, spouse, son or daughter.
- AED 8,000 for second and third degree relatives.
- AED 15,000 for friends.
Your host also needs proof of your relationship and a reason for the visit, and pays a refundable deposit. Airlines that sponsor relatives set their own salary rules, so check with the airline too. Our guide to writing an invitation letter for a visit visa explains what your host's letter should say.
Do you need a bank statement for a Dubai visit visa?
GDRFA Dubai's list for 30 and 60 day tourist visas does not include a bank statement, as of October 2026. The five year multiple entry tourist visa is different: it needs a balance of US$4,000, or the equivalent, over the six months before you apply.
Your sponsor may still ask for statements, and a clear money trail helps if questions arise. Our guide to bank statements for a visit visa explains what a strong statement looks like.
Why are Dubai visit visas refused for Pakistanis?
GDRFA Dubai and ICP do not publish refusal reasons or rates. What is known comes from press reports, and they should be read as reports, not official policy:
- On 2 and 3 August 2026, ProPakistani and Aaj English, citing Arab News, reported that the UAE had resumed issuing visit visas to Pakistanis applying through registered travel agencies, after months of delays. They quoted an unnamed UAE embassy official.
- The same reports said Pakistan's Foreign Office told parliament that stricter checks followed cases of forged degrees and employment documents, and legal action against some Pakistanis in the UAE.
- Officials in both countries have said there is no official visa ban on Pakistani nationals.
In practice, a file is safest when your documents are genuine and complete, your bookings match your dates, your host's papers are in order, and you have never overstayed. Read visit visa refusal reasons for Pakistani applicants for more.
