In 2026 most invitations have gone to people with Canadian experience, French speakers, provincial nominees and selected occupations such as healthcare and trades.
Canadian law allows only licensed immigration consultants (RCICs), lawyers and Quebec notaries to give paid advice on Canadian immigration, including to applicants in Pakistan. Your case is prepared with a licensed RCIC, and you can check any consultant’s licence on the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants public register.

For skilled workers with experience from abroad: one year of skilled work, CLB 7 in English or French, a recognised credential and proof of funds.
For people with at least one year of skilled work experience inside Canada in the last three years.
For qualified tradespeople with two years of trade experience and a job offer or a Canadian certificate of qualification.
Provinces and territories nominate people their economies need. A nomination linked to Express Entry adds 600 points.
For people with a job offer from a designated employer in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador.
For people with a job offer from an approved employer in one of 14 participating rural communities.
For French speakers with a job offer in a participating Francophone community outside Quebec.
Quebec selects its own skilled workers. Selected applicants receive a Quebec Selection Certificate, then apply for PR.
Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor a spouse, common law partner or dependent child.
Paused or closed in October 2026: sponsorship of parents and grandparents (paused since 15 July 2026), the Home Care Worker Immigration pilots (paused), the Start-up Visa (paused) and the Agri-Food Pilot (closed). We will tell you if any of them reopens.
