Yes, Pakistanis need a visa for Turkey (Türkiye). If you hold a valid US, UK, Schengen or Irish visa or residence permit, you can get a one month, single entry e-Visa online at evisa.gov.tr for tourism or business. Everyone else applies for a sticker visa through Anatolia Travel Services, the Turkish Embassy's only authorized visa centre in Pakistan. Here is how each route works in October 2026.
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Turkey?
Yes. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Pakistani ordinary passport holders must have a visa to enter Türkiye. The official e-Visa FAQ also lists Pakistan among the countries that cannot get a visa on arrival, so you cannot buy one at Istanbul airport. Official passport holders are the exception: they are exempt for stays of up to 90 days.
For a tourist or business visit, that leaves two routes: the e-Visa, if you hold one of the supporting documents below, or a sticker visa through Anatolia Travel Services.
Who qualifies for the Turkey e-Visa with a US, UK or Schengen visa?
The Ministry's rule for Pakistan covers "ordinary passport holders with a valid Schengen, USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit". When you apply on evisa.gov.tr with a Pakistani passport, the portal asks you to confirm four conditions:
- Your passport covers the period you will stay in Türkiye.
- You are travelling for tourism or business.
- You hold a valid supporting document: a valid visa or a valid residence permit from a Schengen country, the USA, the UK or Ireland. E-visas are not accepted as supporting documents.
- You can prove a return ticket, a hotel reservation and at least US$50 for each day of your stay.
Your e-Visa is only valid if you meet these criteria, so expect the same checks at the airport. The official FAQ adds:
- The supporting visa does not have to be multiple entry. Used or unused single entry visas count if they are still valid on your entry date.
- An electronic visa from another country does not count.
- A Canadian visa is not on the list. Anatolia says Canadian visa holders must apply for a sticker visa.
How to apply for the Turkey e-Visa from Pakistan
- Open evisa.gov.tr yourself. Type the address rather than clicking an advert. It is the only official e-Visa site, and look alike sites charge extra for the same visa.
- Choose Pakistan and an ordinary passport, enter your arrival date and confirm the four conditions.
- Enter your details and your supporting visa or permit, with its number and expiry date, and upload a copy.
- Pay by Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay card. The card does not have to be in your name.
- Download the e-Visa and keep a printed copy as well as one on your phone.
Apply at least 48 hours before you fly. An e-Visa cannot be amended or refunded. On 15 October 2026 the portal's fee check for a Pakistani ordinary passport showed a US$48 visa fee, a US$12 insurance charge and further charges of US$6 and US$1.95, about US$68 in all. Check the total on screen before you pay.
How do you apply for a Turkey sticker visa in Pakistan?
Without a supporting document, you need a sticker visa. The Embassy of Türkiye in Islamabad says applications are received only through Anatolia Travel Services, and warns that buying or selling forged visas is illegal.
Anatolia's centres are in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Hyderabad, open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. Its rules in October 2026:
- Which centre: the one for your city of employment or business, or your CNIC address.
- In person: biometrics are compulsory from age 12, and every applicant aged 18 or over fills in an interview form by hand.
- Walk in: tourist applications need no appointment during declared hours, though appointments may be introduced at busy times.
- Timing: travel must be no more than 90 days after you submit. The Embassy recommends applying at least a month ahead.
- Processing: generally at least 6 weeks, with every file approved by the Ministry in Türkiye, so there is no fixed timeline and no fast track.
- Bookings: submit ticket and hotel reservations only. Do not buy a ticket or pay for a hotel before the visa is issued.
How much is the Turkey visa fee in Pakistan?
The Embassy's fee notice of 20 February 2026 lists these amounts for Pakistani passports, paid in cash in rupees and not refundable:
| Visa | 3 months | 6 months | 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single entry | PKR 52,200 | PKR 58,000 | PKR 63,800 |
| Multiple entry | Not offered | Not offered | PKR 98,600 |
GST is added on top. A VIP application costs PKR 4,350 more, and the compulsory insurance is a separate cost. Since 25 November 2025, a multiple entry visa is only open to people who have already entered Türkiye at least once, with entry and exit stamps as proof.

How long can you stay in Turkey?
- e-Visa: single entry. On 15 October 2026 the portal showed a stay of up to 30 days within a 180 day validity period for a Pakistani passport.
- Single entry sticker visa: usually valid for 3 months, with the stay set by your travel plan. You can ask for 6 months validity in your cover letter, but the length of stay does not change.
- Multiple entry sticker visa: usually 1 year, with a maximum of 90 days in any 180 days.
Turkish law requires your passport to be valid at least 60 days beyond the stay your visa allows. Overstaying can lead to fines, deportation or a ban on future travel.
Can you work in Turkey on a visit visa?
No. The e-Visa information form states that a visa does not give the right to work, and Anatolia says you cannot work in Türkiye on any visa other than a work visa. A business visit covers trade meetings, not employment. Via Nova does not arrange jobs, job offers or work visas.
Why are Turkey visas refused for Pakistanis?
The Embassy may refuse without giving a reason. The official notes point to these problems:
- Missing documents. The checklist warns that leaving out required documents may cause refusal.
- Fake documents. Anatolia verifies bank and employer documents for the Embassy. Forged papers can be sent with your passport to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for legal action.
- Old or unexplained statements. A statement older than 30 days, or large deposits with no clear source, weakens a file.
- A recent refusal. The 2026 checklist says you cannot apply within 6 months of a Turkish visa refusal, though Anatolia's FAQ says you may reapply with fresh documents. Confirm with the centre before paying again.
- e-Visa mistakes. A supporting visa that has expired by your entry date, or no proof of a return ticket, hotel and US$50 a day, can mean refusal at the border.
Fees are not refunded after a refusal. Read visit visa refusal reasons for Pakistanis to rebuild a weak file. A valid visa from our Schengen visa guide also opens the e-Visa route.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a Turkey e-Visa with a UK visa from Pakistan?
Yes, if your UK visa or residence permit is still valid on the day you enter Türkiye. Pakistani ordinary passport holders with a valid UK, US, Schengen or Irish visa or residence permit can get a single entry e-Visa for tourism or business at evisa.gov.tr. A used or single entry visa counts if its dates cover your entry.
How much is the Turkey visa fee for Pakistani citizens in 2026?
For a sticker visa, the Embassy's notice of 20 February 2026 lists PKR 52,200 for a 3 month single entry visa and PKR 98,600 for a 1 year multiple entry visa, plus GST, paid in cash. For the e-Visa, the portal showed a US$48 visa fee plus about US$20 in other charges on 15 October 2026.
How long does a Turkey sticker visa take from Pakistan?
Anatolia says processing generally takes at least 6 weeks, and every application needs approval from the Ministry in Türkiye, so there is no fast track. Submit no more than 90 days before travel, ideally more than a month ahead, and do not buy a ticket until the visa is issued.
Is a bank statement required for a Turkey visit visa?
Yes, for a sticker visa. Anatolia's checklist asks for an original statement covering at least the last 3 months, signed and stamped by the bank and not older than 30 days when you submit, plus a bank account maintenance certificate. For the e-Visa, you must be able to show at least US$50 for each day of your stay.
Can I get a Turkey visa on arrival with a Pakistani passport?
No. The official e-Visa FAQ lists Pakistan among the countries whose citizens cannot get a visa on arrival. You need an e-Visa, if you hold a valid US, UK, Schengen or Irish visa or residence permit, or a sticker visa arranged through Anatolia Travel Services before you fly.
